Today Shazam Carpet Cleaning arrived at an empty commercial office space in Burleigh on the Gold Coast. The carpet was in a bad state and required our ‘restoration cleaning process’ to bring it back to an acceptable level for our client. Our restoration carpet cleaning is the use of 2 different carpet cleaning methods combined – bonnet cleaning and hot water extraction. In most cases either method will do a great job on it’s own but in some cases a little extra attention goes a long way in the finished result.
To start things off we pre-vacuumed the carpet with an industrial 18″ vacuum cleaning. This vacuum cleaner has a rotating brush that cleans deep within the carpet fibre making short work of lose soils and other debris. The we laid down a heavy antimicrobial pre-spray cleaning solution and let dwell for 15 minutes.
Next we brought in the bonnet cleaning machine to agitate and scrub the cleaning solution evenly through the carpet fibres. The bonnets on this machine also break down and absorb soils and stains. At this stage the carpet was starting to look a lot better than when we had first arrived, but we still had one last cleaning process that would extract even more dirt and would brighten the carpet further still.
The final step was to re-clean the entire area with ‘hot water extraction’ or ‘steam cleaning’ as the public know it. This method has a great rinsing/flushing capability that removes by extraction dirt, bacteria, fungus, dust mites, and allergens, from the carpet fiber, achieving the deepest clean possible.
The carpets came up looking great and the client was very happy with the finished result.
